Description
Hoagy Carmichael, son of the great composer, has been an important part the Atlantic salmon fishing culture for the last 50 or more years. Hoagy meticulously researched and wrote two volumes about the Grand Cascapedia River on Quebec’s Gaspe Peninsula. This famous river vies with the Restigouche as home to the largest Atlantic salmon swimming in any North American river. We are auctioning off a brand new set of both volumes. They are signed by Hoagy and are said to be the last of his private stock. The books are 9.5 x12, slip-covered, and weigh a hefty 7.1 pounds each. Time is moving along, and this is among the last of the fading opportunities to acquire new, signed copies of these unique books.
Donated by Hoagy and Ben Carmichael
